Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis
Psychotherapy typically takes place once a week. It offers a consistent space where you can explore your feelings, relationships, and the patterns that shape your life. We examine how your past influences your present and work toward building insight, relieving suffering, and creating change.
Psychoanalysis meets more frequently, usually three or more times per week. Some people are drawn to this kind of intensive work from the start. Others discover through the course of weekly therapy that they have a desire to “go deeper” and explore dimensions of inner and relational life that might not surface in weekly sessions. Increased frequency creates a unique environment where thoughts and feelings that are typically hard to access can emerge and be worked through, opening up new perspectives and potential for lasting transformation.
The right fit for you depends on your goals, schedule, and what feels right for you. We can explore what makes the most sense during our consultation.
