My APProach

I believe therapy is a process of self-examination, healing, and transformation that unfolds in the relationship between the therapist and the client. I am a supportive and curious collaborator. Together we can gain insight into your unique history and experience in the world, and the patterns that keep you feeling stuck or held back. Learning about different parts of your self experience helps loosen the grip of these old patterns and create space to discover new and enlivening ways of living and relating.

Training and experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York City. I hold a Bachelors degree in social work from New York University and a Masters degree in social work from Smith College School for Social Work, where I was trained in psychodynamic, relational, and anti-oppressive approaches to clinical work with adolescents and adults. I began my career working with individuals who experienced interpersonal, community, and institutional violence, and continue to provide clinical supervision to social workers in this field. I have provided psychotherapy to a diverse population of adolescents and adults in New York City since 2013.

I completed advanced training in clinical supervision from Smith College School for Social Work in 2019 and psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity in 2020. I am currently an analytic candidate at the Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity, where I study contemporary psychoanalytic theory and practice.
